JESSICA is a qualified level 2 yoga teacher. She began practicing yoga in 2007. She would arrive to a yoga session after a long day on her feet as a hairstylist feeling so much better for reaping the many benefits that the yoga class offered her.
So inspired by yoga and passionate to share it with others she then went on to completing her Yoga Chi Gung teacher training in 2011. Jessica then enrolled into exploring Hatha Yoga which she trained and studied in. Jessica loves these styles of yoga and offers both these forms from the studio. She has even integrated and combined these two beautiful styles into one session.
Before opening the Ocean Tree Yoga Studio, Jessica had experience teaching at different locations in her community of Hervey Bay but her passion to be available to offer people yoga from one beautiful location led her to opening the studio. "This space that I have created is a space for everyone to come into, to feel a sense of calm, to shed parts of themselves and transform in their yoga or meditation practice, so that when you walk out the door you feel a little better about yourself"
Jessica has successfully mentored students of yoga which have gone onto teaching yoga themselves. She also introduced SUP (stand up paddle board yoga to the Hervey Bay community which continues to thrive. Jessica has been fortunate to be a part of many workshops, seminars, talks and retreats from amazing and profound teachers with each one inspiring and furthering Jess's knowledge. As a busy mother herself, Jessica balances her time practicing mindful parenting, teaching group classes, personal yoga sessions, offers massage as well as runs or hosts workshops and retreats. She is also constantly furthering her studies to bring her students as much as she can offer.
